Gardens for the Mend - A Residential Eating Disorder Recovery Center

For my senior year Capstone Thesis project, I was tasked with choosing a prevalent social issue and re-designing an already existing building in a way that would help and raise awareness towards this issue. The cause that I chose to help was the rising amount young women with Eating Disorders today. Gardens for the Mend is a Residential Eating Disorder Recovery Center aimed to Shown above is the final poster presented. The Recovery Center aims to heal young women from their eating disorders and promote health and wellbeing within this demographic. The purpose is to make the residents feel at home and comfortable while receiving treatment, as opposed to the ineffective recovery efforts of an institution.
